-3 tbsp coconut butter*
-3 tbsp almond flour
-3 scoops Further Food Collagen Peptides (code REDDOOR10 for 10% off!)
-2 tbsp maple syrup (optional, if you want to be sugar free!)
-1 tbsp coconut oil
-1 tbsp cacao powder
-1 tbsp maca powder (optional)
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-Add all ingredients in a food processor and pulse several times until combined
-Roll out into balls of desired size. I made 6 out of this recipe
-Cool in freezer for 10 minutes
-Store in a container in the fridge for a week or make a large batch and keep in the freezer
Real talk, I was seeing this all over instagram and was always upset because almost ALL of them called for dates! Dates are very high FODMAP and would just about ruin my day if I ate them. The recipes also frequently call for weird stuff no normal human keeps in their pantry... so I finally took some time to play around and try to make my own date-FREE, relatively weird stuff-free, fat/protein ball.
These sort of taste like a coconutty tootsie roll. The combo of the peptides (protein), almond and coconut (healthy fats), and maca (energy) make these a great all around power ball.
